You can do the same with upselling. Use behavioral and shopping cart data to show deals on higher-priced items. This is more compelling if the quality and value are also higher. Otherwise, people will stick with the cheaper option.
5 Signs It’s Time to Clean Up Your Email List
A healthy email list is key to running a successful email marketing campaign. Regularly cleaning your email list helps maintain high levels of engagement, improves deliverability, and ensures your efforts aren’t wasted. Neglecting this task can lead to poor results and damage your sender reputation. Let’s explore five signs that it’s time to clean your email list.
Signal 1 # Falling open rates
Open rates are a key metric in email marketing, representing the percentage of email recipients who open a given email compared to the total number of emails delivered. For example, if 1,000 emails are sent and 150 recipients open them, the open rate is 15%. This metric is critical because it is the first indication that the content of your email has captured the recipient’s attention, based largely on the subject line, sender name, and preheader text.
Importance of open rates in email marketing
- Measure Campaign Performance:
Open rates offer a glimpse into the effectiveness of your email’s first impression. A high open rate suggests that recipients find your brand’s emails engaging and relevant enough to take the first step of opening them. Conversely, a declining open rate signals problems. It could mean that your email content, timing, or even your audience’s preferences have changed, making your emails less compelling. - Customer Engagement Indicator:
Open rates provide insight into how well you are maintaining a relationship with your subscribers. A healthy open rate shows that recipients are still engaged with your content. On the other hand, declining open rates can indicate growing disinterest or dissatisfaction among your audience, signaling potential churn or that your subscriber list has become stale or irrelevant. - Report an outdated or stale contact list:
Declining open rates can also suggest that your email list has become stale. Some contacts may no longer use the email addresses they originally provided, while others may have lost interest in your content over time but have not unsubscribed. As a result, emails are sent to people who are not active participants in your campaigns, dragging down your overall open rate.
Steps to clean your email list:
- Inactive User Segment:
A key strategy to combat declining open rates is to segment inactive users, those who have not opened or interacted with your emails in a specific period of time. These contacts may be disengaged for a variety of reasons, such as changing interests or overly frequent communications. By identifying this group, you can create re-engagement campaigns tailored to pique their interest again. - Run targeted re-engagement campaigns:
Try sending personalized, targeted content to re-engage inactive users. This could be a special offer, a survey to understand their needs, or a reminder of the value they get from being on your list. Experiment with different subject lines and tones to see what works best to capture their attention. - Cleanse your email list by removing unresponsive contacts:
If your re-engagement efforts are failing, it may be time to consider removing these unresponsive contacts from your list. While it may seem counterintuitive to reduce the size of your email list, keeping unengaged subscribers hurts more than it helps, as it reduces open rates, degrades sender reputation, and wastes resources.
Signal 2# High bounce rates
Bounce rate in email marketing refers to the percentage of emails that are returned (or “bounced”) as undeliverable after being sent to recipients. These undeliverable emails fall into two categories: hard bounces and soft bounces. Understanding the distinction between these two types of bounces is essential to improving email deliverability and maintaining a healthy contact list.
Types of Bounce Rate
- Hard Bounces:
A hard bounce occurs when an email is returned as permanently undeliverable. This typically happens for reasons such as:- The recipient’s email address is invalid or no longer in use.
- The domain name does not exist.
- The email server has blocked delivery for security or spam reasons.
- Hard bounces should be addressed immediately as they indicate permanent delivery errors that will not resolve themselves. Continuously sending emails to these addresses damages the sender’s reputation and wastes resources.
- Soft Bounces:
A soft bounce occurs when an israel email list email is temporarily undeliverable. This can happen for reasons such as:- The recipient’s inbox is full.
- The email server is temporarily down or unavailable.
- The email is too large for the recipient’s inbox.
- Soft bounces often resolve themselves after a few attempts. However, if an address repeatedly experiences soft bounces over time, it may indicate a more persistent issue that needs to be addressed.
Why it’s important:
- Impact on sender reputation and deliverability:
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) closely monitor bounce rates to determine whether a sender is trustworthy or is engaging in poor email practices, such as sending to invalid or nonexistent addresses. High bounce rates are a red flag to ISPs, who may classify your emails as spam or block them from reaching inboxes altogether, damaging your overall sender reputation. - Wasted Resources:
Continuously sending emails to addresses that generate hard or soft bounces is a waste of time, effort and budget. Since email marketing often costs money (be it software, content creation or list maintenance), high the project initiation stage you need to set the main goals bounce rates can lead to inefficiencies, forcing you to invest in emails that don’t reach your intended audience. This reduces the return on your email marketing investment. - Biased analytics and performance metrics:
High bounce rates can skew your email marketing metrics, giving you an inaccurate picture of your campaign’s success. For example, if a lot of your emails bounce, your open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement will appear lower than they actually are, making it difficult to gauge the effectiveness of your campaigns.
Signal 3# Low Click-Through Rates (CTR)
Click-through rates (CTR) are a key metric in email marketing that measures the percentage of recipients who clicked on a link within job data an email. CTR is calculated by dividing the number of unique clicks by the number of emails delivered and multiplying by 100. For example, if 1,000 emails are delivered and 50 recipients click on a link, the CTR is 5%.
CTR is a critical indicator of how engaging and relevant your email content is to your audience. While open rate measures the effectiveness of your subject line and first impression, CTR reveals whether recipients are taking additional action by engaging with your content. This action could include clicking a product link, reading a blog post, or registering for an event.

Mom I changed my number the WhatsApp scam that steals money from relatives
The scam that circulates digital services via WhatsApp is still actively widespread, with which one pretends to be a relative of the victim in emergency and makes him lose the money in his current account, with the persuasion to carry out banking operations in favor of the criminal, masked precisely behind the new telephone number of the relative.

of having to make a bank transfer and representing the impossibility of completing it with one’s own means having changed number, one asks for help from the “mother” by inviting her to do this for him, through a hypothetical ” friend ” who will act as a bridge in this operation.
No bridge and no emergency, in reality it is just a fraud and the person indicated as the beneficiary of the transfer will not be in any case a friend actually known by your child. On the contrary, it will be the accomplice (almost always a front man who is difficult to prosecute), who will serve the criminal to withdraw all the money paid and escape with the loot.
The latest case: 5 thousand euros lost by a mother
The scam is becoming quite widespread, thanks of course to the widespread diffusion of the well-known Meta app for instant messaging. Crime, as we have seen very often, follows trends, usability and widespread diffusion, to spread its work.Although the scam is not a new concept mexico whatsapp number data and already known, it is the recent case described by the Twitter user @WebMarkeThink yesterday, which gives further proof of its effective exploitation, with 5 thousand euros lost by the grandmother in this way.
How WhatsApp Fraud Works digital services
By exploiting this mechanism, which simple tips to protect your wifi network at home has nothing to do with technology and is known as social engineering, the next step is to exploit the rules of the banking institutions to then escape with the loot. In fact, an instant transfer is request and , in this case, within the limits proposed by the institution precisely to avoid running into operational problems (5,000.00 euros as a maximum).
The peculiarity of this type of transfer is that it is not “reverseable” , there is no possibility of canceling an instant transfer precisely because the bank does not have a dead time of “processing” on this transaction. The transfer is immediately and automatically delivered to the beneficiary’s account. If the beneficiary is ready, on the other end of the “phone”, to withdraw the sums from an ATM, as they arrive, when the victim realizes that he has been scam, it is already too late.
Next step: artificial intelligence
Experts – such as Bruce Schneier – also report that the continuous and natural evolution of this fraud is the use of artificial intelligence, precisely to be able to carry on even voice conversations, simulating with these algorithms the tone of voice of our relative known to us, and not be recognize as scammers, not even during a voice call. How to defend yourself from scams digital services
What can be done to avoid these scams is dating data to talk about them, to raise awareness as much as possible even among the public who are less accustom to these message systems, so that they do not trust an unknown message to make real charges from their current account.
Contact in person, always and in any way your relative who is involve by the criminal, before making any charges. Even credit institutions, for their part, can play an important role in this battle, for example by tightening the limits of use digital services of instant bank transfers (when the net is too loose), as well as the reiteration of operations of this kind and also the evaluation, on a 24H basis, of the monitoring of suspicious operations, identifiable precisely by the analysis of the daily habits of a customer which, if they differ in the specific operation, suspend them until verification. Better a temporary disservice, than a permanent economic loss.

A new report by #ScienceForUkraine quantifies and assesses the adequacy of the support mechanisms in meeting the needs of displaced Ukrainian scientists. The study also explores implications for policymakers and scientific institutions for the effective design and implementation of support programmes aimed at scientists in times of crisis.
To meet the needs of displaced
Ukrainian scientists, the global scientific community spontaneously initiated various forms of support, but their adequacy has been difficult to assess. This new survey report by #ScienceForUkraine, entitled Scientific Support Offers for Ukrainians: Determinants, Reasons and Consequences, provides an urgently needed window into the nuanced factors determining the supply, demand, and success of support.
As emphasized by
The authors, despite the substantial impact of the war on Ukrainian science and the prioritization of the issue by European and US science policy-makers, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding the concrete outcomes of the support programmes. To gain valuable insights from this crisis and enhance the resilience of the science sector, it is imperative to meticulously assess the effectiveness of these programmes, determining if these efforts overseas data were indeed sufficient and addressing the scientists’ actual needs.

Unfair Discrimination Against Diamond Open Access Stifles Progress
Recently I have been trying to dispel misunderstandings about diamond open access – the mode of open access whereby there are no author-side or reader-side charges. Some out there would have you believe that diamond open access cannot ‘scale’. Some also say that diamond open access journals don’t innovate. I have an example that runs counter to both of those assertions. In a recent OASPA webinar, I talked about a tale of two open access journals catering for the same authors, one of which has author-side article processing charges (APCs): SoftwareX, and the other: Journal of Open Source Software (JOSS), which does not charge APCs.
Both journals,
SoftwareX (established in 2015) and JOSS (established in 2016), are open access and have published highly cited papers, with citations reaching 15,000 for SoftwareX and 10,000 for JOSS. In addition, they publish a high volume of papers, with over 300 in SoftwareX and over 400 in JOSS in 2023, challenging the email data notion that “diamond open access can’t scale”. However, that is where their similarities end.
SoftwareX
is otherwise a fairly typical APC journal my transition from photoshop to figma with black box peer review and no transparency offered on its process. Whereas JOSS provides readers access to the entire thread of editorial handling, including peer-review reports and author responses. At JOSS we don’t just have to trust that peer-review has taken place – we can see it! The way in which JOSS leverages the GitHub platform for manuscript tracking, editorial work, and peer-review bulk data is highly innovative and adds great value to submitted manuscripts. So much for assertions about diamond not innovating! JOSS is also remarkably financially efficient with very low running costs.
However,
The Directory of Open Access Journals, recognising its quality, indexed JOSS about a year after its launch in 2017. Previously, SoftwareX had received the same treatment with an indexation about a year after its launch in 2016.
Yet two proprietary
journal indexers have not given these journals equal treatment. Scopus (Elsevier) and Web of Science (Clarivate) have accepted SoftwareX into their indexes but have refused to index JOSS, despite multiple applications from the JOSS team. At the time of writing, despite being, in my opinion, a superb, first-class journal for publishing research software, Scopus and Web of Science have not yet agreed to index JOSS.
The best solution
here is not to beg for JOSS to be included in these proprietary indexes, but rather to call institutions and departments relying on Scopus and Web of Science to review and change their policies.
Hybrid Work: Good for the Goose and Good for the Gander
Plastic pollution has become a global
environmental issue, reaching even the most pristine and
remote parts of our planet,
including Antarctica and the surrounding Southern Ocean.
Antarctica is one of the last remaining wildernesses on the planet. It is largely
unexplored and has few inhabitants
but is under increasing pressure from the human footprint. The Southern Ocean comprises around 10% of the global ocean. It is of critical importance to the equilibrium of the Earth system and exhibits distinctive and exceptional marine biodiversity, but it is now under threat from plastic pollution.
Plastic pollution in
Antarctica occurs almost everywhere, from open ocean to coastal environments, contaminating the water, sea ice and sediments around the continent and surrounding sub-Antarctic Islands. Entanglement of marine mammals and birds and ingestion of plastics by marine predators including fish, mammals, and birds, along with increasing numbers of reports of microplastics found in animals living on the seabed and in terrestrial food webs, are clear evidence of the extent of plastic pollution and a cause for serious concern.
The impact of plastic
pollution is affecting the resilience of Southern Ocean ecosystems and jeopardizing a delicate balance that has evolved over 40 million years. Plastic pollution is clearly a global concern, however the remoteness and difficulty of access to Antarctica make it difficult to investigate and quantify consequences telegram database users list on the unique Antarctic terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
Plastic pollution is just one piece of the puzzle
Southern Ocean biodiversity what is a website footer or what to write in the basement and ecosystems
are now more vulnerable than ever before, due to recent rapid environmental changes, including climate warming and ocean acidification. Thus, the unique ability of Antarctic organisms
to adapt to extreme conditions is already threatened by changes to our climate. Many of these species have narrow tolerance ranges and they are facing an additional threat from plastic pollution. Antarctic marine animals are becoming increasingly exposed to the combined presence of plastic pollution and human-induced climate change. Addressing the potential impact of plastic pollution in isolation does not allow us to fully predict consequences in years to come. It is critical to account for potential cumulative effects with other stressors. The interactions between climate change and micro- and nanoplastics are likely to bulk data magnify the potential for interactions with other toxicants, as well as lead to an enhanced susceptibility of Antarctic species to these stressors.
Plastic in the Southern Ocean is a global issue
Understanding the sources of plastics entering
from within and outside the Southern Ocean and quantifying the
scale of the problem are
essential to minimize any environmental threat to the
unique biodiversity and ecosystems of the region. Plastic found in the Southern Ocean is likely to have originated from both local and global sources, with new evidence that some items may have entered the ocean at lower latitudes, crossing perceived oceanographic barriers to reach Antarctic coasts.

This blog forms part of a series for the IS

Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution.Plastic has played an important role for human development.
However, its proper management – especially at the end of its life cycle- has not matched its consumption rate.
As a result, plastic pollution has worsened rapidly
worldwide with detrimental impacts to humans and nature. This needs to be addressed,
and the global community is now convening to hammer out the details of a future agreement on plastic
pollution. Regarding implementation, there are several capacity gaps
in such a plastics treaty, and bridging these gaps requires a multistakeholder effort. I
n this regard, the science community plays an important role in contributing to improving data

In the process of establishing

to curb plastic pollution, the science community is in a dialogue on systems change to address the causes of plastic pollution. Such systems necessarily need to address both supply and demand
by combining the reduction of problematic and unnecessary
plastic use with a market transformation towards circularity in plastics. This can be achieved by accelerating three key shifts – reuse, recycle, and reorient and diversify – and actions to deal with the legacy of plastic pollution”[1]. Understanding the current situation and tracking progress requires monitoring and data across the plastic entire life cycle of plastics. Monitoring and reporting at national and subnational levels are essential for effectively implementing any legally binding instrument to curb future plastic pollution. However, at the bulk data moment, several developing countries in Asia and the Pacific face limitations in their ability to monitor and generate plastics and plastic-related chemicals.
Some of these limitations include:
Lack of Infrastructure: Many Asian developing
countries may lack the necessary infrastructure for comprehensive
monitoring and reporting of plastic products throughout the value chain and
pollution. This includes limited
laboratory facilities, analytical equipment,
and trained personnel. Insufficient infrastructure hinders
the collection, analysis, and interpretation of monitoring data.[2],[3]
Limited Financial Resources: Financial constraints canimpede the establishment and maintenance of monitoring and reporting
programs. Procuring advanced monitoring equipment, conducting regular sampling, and analyzing samples can be costly. In addition, limited financial resources may restrict the allocation of funds to monitoring and reporting efforts, resulting in inadequate data collection and analysis. These factors adversely affect the availability of FAIR .

I was conducting interviews and research for another study on “Organizational and management challenges of Transdisciplinary Sustainability Sciences for the Anthropocene.” This study is based on examining organizational arrangements that have made long-term, large-scale, impactful science programs successful. The case studies I looked at included NASA’s International Space Station (ISS), China’s Belt & Road Initiative Science (BRIS) and India’s National Innovation Foundation (NIF). I am also examining university-based global sustainability research programs coordinated by Future updated 2024 mobile phone number data Earth and UNESCO’s BRIDGES programs.
Science programs at ISS,
BRIS and NIF have very practical goals. They are how to reduce website bounce rate operating in complex multi stakeholder environments or ecosystems. For example, the purpose of the ISS is creating and maintaining a space station capable of doing scientific experiments in space. BRIS managers are seeking to build infrastructure and facilities of the Belt & Road Initiative. NIF managers seek to identify and valorize grassroots innovations in the traditional knowledge sector. These action pursuits produce new knowledge and this knowledge crosses and integrates many disciplines but the most important outcomes of the pursuit are actions and impacts. Interestingly, the programs do not define themselves by the knowledge they produce, nor is ‘knowledge’ the main goal of the program. It is as if the new knowledge is almost a byproduct of accomplishing their practical goals. Most of the science managers I spoke to, did not use the term “transdisciplinary” to describe what they are doing. Some of them referred to inter or multidisciplinary bulk data inquiries, but on the whole they did not describe their work in terms of disciplines at all. However, their work is clearly transdisciplinary in nature.
Transdisciplinarity
Moniker is much more popular among academic researchers working in universities in networks such as Future Earth and BRIDGES. Many different terms show up in place of transdisciplinary science such as convergence research, team science, collaborative science, inter and multidisciplinary, translational science, action science, holistic science and even just plain ‘science’ plus additional terms in Chinese and Hindi. By centering on the disciplinary, the term may inadvertently be devaluing action, agency and impacts. To move science forward we need it to influence actions, and have impact on real-world problems. It does not matter if we call that transdisciplinary.

ISC Members at the Council’s Mid-term Meeting in Paris discussed how the
Council can strengthen ties with international organizations and mobilize scientists
to advocate for evidence-based decision-making on urgent global issues like climate change.
In the “ISC and the
Multilateral System” session in Paris, ISC Members also heard about the
Council’s work with the UN and other multilateral organizations since the last
General Assembly in 2021, and ongoing work to bolster the role of science at the international level.
Strengthening relationships with the UN and international organizations
The ISC’s position within the multilateral system is the top priority for the organization,
explains Mathieu Denis, head of the ISC Centre for Science Futures – a newly founded
think tank which aims to provide advice on science for policy and the future of the scientific ecosystem.
This offers a strong opportunity for ISC Members to bring the knowledge and experience
of Members into these discussions, notes ISC President Peter Gluckman.
The ISC is also working with other UN bodies on this front, including the UN Environment
Programme (UNEP), with a focus on
building trust in science on key issues like climate change. The new Group of Friends on
Science for Action at the UN, a consortium of 25 nations led by Belgium, India and
South Africa, will be an important forum for work on climate
change and other accurate mobile phone number list issues where scientific input is vital.
Creation of a Group of Friends on Science for Action at the UN
Sizable developments are underway how to make sure your pop-ups are seo friendly for improved scientific support of decision-making at the global level through the UN General Assembly Briefing on Science-Based Evidence for Sustainable Solutions, and the launch of the Group of Friends on Science for Action at the UN.
The Group’s major focus is to ensure that bulk data the UN uses evidence more effectively in policy deliberation, Gluckman explains. To do that, the Group will facilitate informal discussions and open exchange of knowledge between countries, with support and guidance from the ISC and global scientists.
ISC Members offer critical advice on urgent issues
The ISC has a unique ability to quickly mobilize multidisciplinary scientists from around the world, Gluckman says.
One of the international organizations making use of the expertise of ISC Members is the UNEP, which has asked Members to nominate experts to a panel that will identify priority environmental problems for policy-makers to address, and will advise the UN Environment Assembly – the top international body for environmental policy.
ISC Members also nominated experts and provided advice for a policy brief that informed discussions at the 2023 UN Water Conference,
