  • Everything you need to know about PPE monitoring

    When a worker, whether from the manufacturing industry, construction, or any other sector with a service that presents a risk of work-related accidents, is hired, he or she receives a PPE kit with a Terms of Use and Responsibility and training on how to use the equipment. However, this alone is not enough to guarantee the use and safety of the worker; an effective monitoring plan is needed.

    Walking through the corridors of a factory, you may have seen some workers using safety glasses inappropriately. There are also some workers who insist on not using safety helmets, believing that they are not at risk of an accident at work. With the identify key demographic and psychographic data in hand, the inspector in the area can evaluate successes and failures and make decisions. A constant error can cause problems not only for the worker, but for the entire company.

    In other words, monitoring the use of PPE is a way to protect workers’ rights and align with labor legislation.

    Control so as not to lose control.

    The risk of an accident in an industry is constant. The lack of control of PPE certainly cannot serve as an excuse for the worker, but it can generate asb directory  labor lawsuits for the company. Inspecting without formal control is very risky and does not generate evidence of your actions. You can and even should have control in a spreadsheet, but it is not always an effective solution.
