In particular, Softline predicts annual business growth in the cloud segment that is ahead of plan. Services and software for teamwork and remote access security also continue to show high growth rates.
“Softline annually increases its cloud segment volume by an average of 50%
In two quarters of 2020, we doubled our performance indicators compared to last year. Due to a large influx of new customers and changes in the phone number lead of existing customers, we had to increase the capacity of our existing data centers ahead of schedule, and this is taking into account the fact that we were already preparing for growth in 2020,” says Yuri Novikov, Head of Cloud Business Development at Softline.
In countries where increasingly stringent
Measures have been taken amid a sharp increase in COVID-19 incidence, demand for Microsoft services is growing. In some European countries, Latin America, India and Russia, there has been explosive growth in the use of Microsoft collaboration tools, primarily Teams, cloud storage and Microsoft Remote Workplace tools in general. The second half of in today’s digital social era year, we also saw significant growth. In September 2020, Softline received Microsoft’s expanded specialization in digital transformation and change management – Adoption and Change Management Advanced Specialization (ACM). Today, we are able to significantly transform the client’s business processes within three to four months, to increase the efficiency of communication and collaboration within the company,” says Andrey Blagorazumov, Microsoft Business Director at Softline.
Predominantly, new customers have increased
Demand for computing capacity rental, virtual workstation services and Virtual Office. Globally, we have seen an increase in the consumption of existing online subscriptions and investment in platforms already used by customers, in a context of increasing load on online tools.
“As for existing Softline customers, they can now fully experience the benefits of cloud services, especially the flexibility of cloud infrastructure. In Latin America, the quarantine was a heavy blow to the economy, and some companies are still in crisis. Companies that asb directory infrastructure services to Softline in the form of a private cloud were able to save on operating costs of the existing infrastructure. A small part of our customers suspended their work for the period of quarantine measures and reduced capacity consumption, keeping their infrastructure ready for operation. We preserved these partnerships, and as soon as they decided to resume their activities, we were able to do so without losing time and data,” adds Yuri Novikov.
There is still a growing demand for software
Services for connecting to remote workstations and teamwork. According to Softline, the use of Microsoft Teams in March quadrupled compared to February, and this dynamic is expected to continue in the coming months. The number of orders for remote workstation, Windows Remote Desktop, as well as other popular applications, Google Workspace, Slack and Zoom, has changed in a similar way.
