Error pages: what they are and why they appear on your website

Are you trying to access a website but seeing a 404 error: file not found ? Errors like these are very common on the web. Although many people aren’t familiar with these error pages, it’s important to understand the source of the problem your website is experiencing.

Having an error page is one of the pitfalls that causes people to leave your website and never return . This is why you should pay special attention to these pages.

There are more than 50 error codes that can appear on a website. In this post, you’ll learn what these error pages are and how to find the source of the problem .

What are error pages?

Error pages, also known as HTTP errors,  appear when the browser has a problem displaying a web page. These problems can be caused by various circumstances . To identify the source of these errors, they are assigned numbers or codes that will help you identify the source of the problem and where to look for a solution.

Status codes

The numbers that appear on error pages are called “status codes” ; they consist of three numbers. The first digit explains the type of whatsapp number list code. There are five different status codes. In this article, we’ll explain two of them: those beginning with 4 and 5, which are error codes.

Client-side error pages

400 – Bad Request

This code refers to a request with incorrect syntax. That is, the server interprets the data sent by the client (a website address) as not fully compliant with the HTTP protocol, and classifies it as “misinformed.” This error may be educational videos: how to use them in your digital business  related to instability in your computer or internet connection . 401 – Authorization Required

403 – Forbidden

The 403 error code is one of the error pages that doesn’t offer a clear explanation as to why the website can’t be accessed. In this case, the server can understand the user’s request, but refuses to fulfill it. The most common reason for this error to appear is because the website owner doesn’t allow the page to be accessed .404 – Not found

 

Server-side error pages

As you know, errors originating from the website server are those that begin with the number 5.

500 – Internal Server Error

Can’t fulfill the client’s request , meaning japan data the server can’t access the web page it’s trying to access. Most of the time, when a 500 error appears, it’s due to a programming or maintenance error.

502 – Bad Gateway

This code refers to a communication error between two servers. Sometimes, one server acts as a means of communication or proxy for another server. When this error appears, it means that the communication between the two servers is not using the same protocol , which prevents data exchange.
